Last week we brought to you LAKSA JOHOR. But, this week we move to Royal City, Pekan, Pahang Darul Makmur. Upon arriving in Pekan, Pahang, every person especially murtabak fans would not miss the opportunity to discover and enjoy this special murtabak called 'MURTABAK MENGKASAR' . Murtabak Mengkasar is very famous and had appeared several times in a paper and also became one of the places that be promoted in Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan TV3. If this place had been in TV3, that means this place must be list in your food wishlist.

The store is located in the Kampung Mengkasar. It is easy to find because this store lies at the roadside. From Kuantan , this store can be seen on the right side. If you from the Pekan town, this store can be seen on your left side. Shortly, if you see Sekolah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Pekan, it means you're close to the store murtabak Mengkasar because the store is beside the school.

Business hour : 4PM - 12AM

Murtabak Mengkasar was founded by Hj. Ahmad Tajudin bin Abdul Hamid (Pak Din murtabak) dates back to 1980. Every day, Murtabak Mengkasar need 1000 eggs, two sacks of wheat and 30 kilograms own blended spices used to make it by using a special machine.

Each one can be eat by 4 person.

Do you know that, the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah also among the fans of this murtabak and also be the food at Sultan social gatherings. The reason that, in other words, this murtabak also known as the Royal murtabak. Other than Sultan Ahmad Shah, our Malaysia Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Najib Abdul Razak also was the fans of this murtabak.

As it became a favorite of many Malaysians, this murtabak expand it branch in three other places which are Taman Seri Rampai,Kuala Lumpur, China Town, Kuantan, and Food Court in UITM Bukit Sekilau, Kuantan.
