In the main town of Kota Kinabalu, there is a famous place
for locals and tourists alike for awesome and affordable food. Be it seafood or others, the Filipino Market has it
all. It’s a great place to check out, to eat muslim food and its open daily
from evenings till late night every day.

BBQ seafood. There are various stalls selling this. It is not cooked fully and
if you choose it, they will then reheat and finish the cooking for you. At the Filipino Market, you will find a lot
of seafood such as prawns, crabs, squid, lobsters and lots of choices of fish
waiting to be feasted. Not only that, you may find other food such as Sabah’s
traditional food, chickens wing, local fruit and others.

The special foods that hard to find in others
place is local seaweeds ! There is two
varieties here. First, is more springy and crunchy type that needs to be cooked
and then eaten with some garnishing of lime, onions, and chilli. It was nice,
taste a bit like crunchy agar agar. This is surely the more unique seaweed!
